Thank you for enquiring about our Rajasthan Cycle
adventure. The India experts is an affiliate company
of Worldwide Adventures one of the world’s
oldest adventure travel companies and this year
we are celebrating our 29th year in operation. Our
product range has expanded significantly since we
first offered trips to Nepal and India in the 70’s.
We now cover all continents, with trips ranging
from adventure touring to introductory trekking
& cycling adventures, to sea kayaking and rafting
in Australia and mountaineering trips in the worlds
most spectacular mountain regions
ITINERARY IN DETAIL
Day 01 :
Arrive
Delhi
After we arrive at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi
International Airport, we proceed through Immigrations,
pick up our baggage and continue through the customs
area. Our local hosts, Worldwide Adventures, India,
will meet and greet us just outside the customs
area. Kindly note that the airport is a very busy
area, therefore stay close to your fellow group
members and keep an eye on your personal belongings.
Our drive to the hotel will take approximately 30
minutes
Overnight Hotel
Day 02 : Delhi
This morning, we will embark for a visit to Old
Delhi. We will explore the Red Fort with its pearl
mosque and exquisite audience halls and continue
on to visit Jama Masjid mosque with its marble domes
and splendid minarets, Raj Ghat (where Gandhi was
cremated), the Ashoka Pillar and the mile long Chandni
Chowk Bazaar where craftsmen sell their wares. We
will visit New Delhi, a city designed and built
by the British in the 1920s. It is a city of wide
boulevards, impressive Government buildings, green
parks and gardens, many of which were designed by
Sir Edwin Lutyens. Other historically significant
sights include the India Gate, the Qutab Minar and
Emperor Humayun’s Tomb (both World Heritage
sites).
This evening we will enjoy a welcome dinner at the
village ‘Bistro’ located in Hauz Khas
village within Delhi, overlooking an ancient school.

Day
03 & 04 : Jodhpur
Morning fly to Jodhpur. On arrival met and transfer
to your hotel. IN Jodhpur discover the fascinating
private chambers and intricate courtyards of Meherangarh
fort-the setting of Kipling’s The Jungle book.
Rural riding around Jodhpur passing villages, hindu
temples, and plenty of Camels. Visit the magnificent
Umaid Bhawan Palacebuilt in 1920 atop a hill overlooking
the city. Meet the local spice wallah, with tea
spices for any ailment. Ride the three-wheeled tuk-tuk
through the winding streets of Jodhpur The Biking Day 03 –
a 30 km rural ride, mostly flat with one hill Day 04
– a 35 km loop ride, again flat
Day 05 & 06 : Aravali
Hills Area
Head south to the edge of the Aravalli Hills •
Shop in Salawas, the dhurrie rug centre of Rajasthan
• Bike through mustard fields, lush farmland,
and remote villages where tourists are a rare sight
• Enjoy a cool drink and a warm welcome at
our hotel • Watch for exotic birds during
a walk along the edge of a seasonal lake •
Enjoy a refreshing break at an aodhi hunting platform
• Watch the sun set over Narlai from a stunning
lookout • Unforgettable dinner experience
at an ancient step-well
Day 05 - a
50 km rolling ride through diverse landscapes
Day 06
- a 3 hour, 10 km walk through hills and villages
Day 07 : Ranakpur
Bike through several small towns on the way
to Ranakpur • Pause for lunch in a local family-run
restaurant • Visit one of the finest temples
in all of India, a maze of 1,444 finely carved white
marble pillars, and spot monkeys playing on the
roof • Learn about the Jains, a people with
a profound respect for all life • Explore
the fort of Devi Garh, and hear tales of ancient
battles against invading Mughals

Day 08 & 09 :
Udaipur
Bike the hills and passes to the valley of Udaipur
• Dine out in the romantic town of Udaipur,
set on the beautiful Lake Pichola • Tour the
extravagant City Palace, one of the largest palace
complexes in India • Stroll the bazaars in
search of miniature paintings and contemporary Indian
art • Partake in the Raj-era ritual of afternoon
tea on the terrace of the Fateh Prakesh Palace Hotel
• Ride through some of the most beautiful
landscapes in rural India • Feast like maharajahs,
reclining on the pillows during a private pleasure
boat cruise

Day 10 & 11 : Jaipur
Morning flight to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan
and an amazing centre of culture and history •
Tour the Pink City, painted this colour in 1905
in honour of the Prince of Wales • Walk from
Jaigarh Fort, the one-time treasury of the Kachhwahas
dynasty, down to Amber Fort • Bike from Monkey
Valley through gently rolling landscapes •
Picnic under a royal umbrella at the foot of the
Maharaja’s fort • Relax at the hotel
or go shopping for hand-blocked textiles, silver
and antiques

an 8-10 km walking tour of Jaipur, mostly downhill Day 09 -
a 45 km gently rolling bike ride in the country
Day 12 : Agra
Explore the history of Mughal rule at the Red Fort
of Akba • Visit the Taj Mahal at sunset •
Flood-lit pools and flaming torches light our final-night
festivities • Dine to the rhythmic sounds
of tablar and sitar

Day 13 : Delhi-Agra-Departure
Drive to Delhi. Rooms for wash and change before
