ITINERARY IN DETAIL
Day 01 : Depart North America
Day 02 : Arrive Mumbai
A warm welcome awaits you at Bombay International
Airport by Worldwide Adventures representative and
you are transferred to your hotel.
Day 03 : Mumbai
Morning depart on a cruise across Mumbai Harbour
to visit Elephanta, a cluster of impressive 6th
and 8th century rock cut caves. Afternoon continue
on a sightseeing tour to visit the Prince of Wales
Museum with it’s extensive collection of 18th
and 19th century miniatures paintings, carved ivory
and Nepalese and Tibetan art. Also visit the Gateway
of India overlooking the harbour and ‘Dhobi
Ghat’, the outdoor laundry. Drive up Malabar
Hill to visit the Hanging Gardens.
Day 04 : Mumbai / Udaipur (By 9W
1710 / 1855 HRS.)
Morning free for independent activities. Evening
transfer to Bombay airport for your flight to Udaipur.
On arrival, transfer to hotel.
Day 05 : Udaipur
Your city tour of Udaipur starts with the City palace
famous for it’s miniature paintings and private
halls with ornately decorated mirrored walls, ivory
doors and inlaid marble balconies. You also visit
the ‘Sahelion-Ki-Bari’ gardens and the
Jagdish Temple. Afternoon cruise on the placid waters
of the Lake Pichola allows you a vision of the city,
as it rises majestically above the lake.
Day 06 : Udaipur / Jaipur

Morning transfer to airport for your flight to Jaipur.
On arrival transfer to hotel. Rest of the Day at
leisure.
Day 07 : Jaipur
Morning Ride by elephant high up to Amber, a spectacular
fortress - palace, protecting a complex of palaces,
temples and apartments with exquisite marble and
mirror inlaid halls. After lunch commence tour of
Jaipur, also called the ‘Pink City’
due to the rose coloured sandstone used in the construction
of the older part of the city. You will see the
‘Hawa Mahal’, a high and intricately
carved wall behind which women of the court were
sequestered while watching processions. In the city
palace, you can view an excellent collection of
Rajasthani costumes, miniatures and an armoury of
Rajput weapons.
Day 08 : Jaipur / Fatehpur
Sikri / Agra
Early morning depart Jaipur, driving through the
fascinating countryside, to the beautiful walled
city of Fatehpur Sikri built to commemorate the
birth of Akbar's son. The building of this capital
was substantially completed in 1574 but 14 years
later it was abandoned, perhaps at the whim of an
imperial favourite or because of a lack of water.
As a result, the immense labour that went into building
the " City Of Victory’ was wasted. Visit
the redstone mosques, courtyards and the palace
where Akbar once played chess using slave girls
as pawns. Afterwards proceed to Agra.
Day 09 : Agra
Agra with its laid - back life style and immense
wealth of architecture, handcrafts and jewellery
is amongst the most remarkable cities of the world.
The sightseeing tour starts from the Taj Mahal -
the most perfect architectural monument in the world,
erected by Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite
wife, Queen Mumtaz Mahal. Begun in 1632, completion
of the white marble edifice required the work of
20,000 men for 21 years. You will also visit to
Agra Fort, representing the architecture in the
periods of the three great Mughal Emperors.
Day 10 : Agra / Khajuraho

Morning is at leisure. Afternoon transfer to the
airport for your flight to Khajuraho.
Day 11 : Khajuraho
The sculptures in the temples of Khajuraho are enshrined
in wall niches. Provocative maidens, dancers, musicians
and embracing couples are adorned within the temples,
which are by themselves masterpieces of Indian Art.
You will explore the Eastern and Western temples
on your tour.
Day 12 : Khajuraho / Varanasi

Morning free for independent activities. Afternoon
transfer to airport for your flight to Varanasi.
On arrival check-in at hotel. Varnasi is one of
the oldest cities in the world. Also known as Benaras,
the city has remained the centre of the Hindu faith.
Day 13 : Varanasi
Morning tour of Varanasi including the local bazaars.
Afterwards drive to the buried city of Sarnath,
a major Buddhist centre and believed to be the birthplace
of the Gautama Buddha. You will see the Dharmarajika
Stupa, the main shrine where Buddha sat in meditation
and the sacred promenade where he preached. Also
at the Museum, you will have a chance to see the
capital of the Ashoka Pillar (264 – 226 B.C.),
selected as the emblem of independent India.
Day 14 : Varanasi / Kathmandu (BY
IC 751 AT 1155 / 1305 HRS.)
Early this morning drive to the Sacred River and
board a launch for a cruise on at the Ganges River
to view the Bathing Ghats. Afterwards drive to the
airport for your flight to Kathmandu.
Day 15 : Kathmandu
Morning explore colourful Darbar Square and travel
to the remarkable Stupas at Boudhnath, one of the
largest in the world. The afternoon excursion takes
you to Patan and Bhadgaon, two of the valley’s
ancient cities, where you can see intricate woodcarvings
and sculpture representing 18th century Nepalese
architecture. Evening enjoy a Nepalese folk dances
followed by dinner.
Day 16 : Kathmandu / Delhi (BY
IC 814 AT 1350 / 1510 HRS.)
Morning at leisure. Afternoon fly to Delhi. On arrival
transfer to the hotel. Introduction to Indian classical
dance technique, followed by dinner.
Day 17 : Delhi
Morning depart on a city tour of Old Delhi to explore
the Red Fort with its pearl mosque and exquisite
audience halls. See Jama Masjid mosque with its
marble domes and splendor minarets, Raj Ghat (where
Gandhi was cremated) and mile long Chandni Chowk
Bazaar where craftsmen sell their wares. Afternoon
visit New Delhi, a city designed and built by the
British in the 1920s. It is a city of wide boulevards,
impressive Government buildings, green parks and
gardens. Many of the buildings were designed by
the famous British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens.
Other highlights include the Qutab Minar and Emperor
Humayun’s Tomb.
Evening farewell dinner followed by a transfer to
the airport for your international flight home.
Day 18 : Depart Delhi / Arrive
